Shannon Fody studied drawing and painting at the Laguna College of Art & Design in Southern California, earning her BFA with honors in 2017. Influenced by her training and mentorship under various West Coast artists, Shannon developed a distinctive tonal approach to depicting the human form. 

In 2019, Shannon moved to Michigan, where she shared her unique approach to figure drawing as an instructor at a private atelier. This experience deepened her understanding of teaching and allowed her to share her technical knowledge with young emerging artists. 

Currently based in Pasadena, California, Shannon continues to pursue her artistic journey. Shannon looks forward to her return to California, while drawing inspiration on her time and experiences in the Midwest. Her recent work explores themes of suburban life while maintaining technical understanding and painterly application.
